Taravel

travel app for Philippine passport holders · personal project

PROBLEM

For Filipinos traveling on a Philippine passport, a trip abroad means checking visa and entry rules for that passport, then juggling flights, hotels, the itinerary, documents and shared expenses across many apps. It's easy to miss something.

SOLUTION

One place per trip with a single readiness answer, built around the Philippine passport. Tara, a travel-only AI assistant, builds three trip plans to compare: Tipid (budget), Sakto (just right) and Bongga (splurge), each with the visa check and its cost for a Philippine passport, and you confirm before anything is saved. It also scans bookings and receipts, splits expenses, and keeps documents encrypted on the phone.

Blurt

privacy app · android · personal project

PROBLEM

Screenshots of chats, receipts, transfers and forms often show names, phone numbers, emails and account details. Hiding them by hand is tedious and easy to get wrong, and cloud tools mean uploading the very data you want to protect.

SOLUTION

Blurt finds and hides sensitive details in screenshots and photos, fully offline, so nothing leaves the phone. It works from the share sheet, keeps redacted copies in a Blurt album, and has an opt-in Auto-guard that offers to redact new screenshots as you take them.
